<p>An apparatus and a method for driving a liquid crystal display device are provided to improve a response speed of a liquid crystal by compensating data according to a driving frequency. In an apparatus and a method for driving a liquid crystal display device, a liquid crystal panel(2) comprises a plurality of pixel regions. A data driver(4) operates the data lines of the liquid crystal panel, and a gate driver(6) operates gate lines of the liquid crystal panel. A data conversion unit detests a driving frequency by using at least one signal of synchronous signals supplied from the outside. The data conversion unit converts a gray scale of image data applied from the outside according to a detected frequency and generates the converted data.</p> |
