PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contactless charger that ensures accuracy of determining whether or not an object to be charged has approached.SOLUTION: When a sensing value Vx of an electrostatic sensor 6 increases by a predetermined level from a baseline Vk, a contactless charger 1 determines that a smartphone has been loaded thereon and transmits a charging wave Sv to start charging. During charging, the contactless charger 1 switches the electrostatic sensor 6 from a normal mode to a sleep mode. When detecting an IG switch being turned off during charging, the contactless charger 1 stops charging and returns the electrostatic sensor 6 from the sleep mode to the normal mode. The electrostatic sensor 6 uses the baseline Vk used during the normal mode prior to sleep mode switching as it is to check whether the smartphone is left behind. |
