PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mother die for forming a fine structure, which can form a fine uneven structure on the surface of a substrate, and to provide a method for manufacturing the mother die for forming the fine structure.SOLUTION: The mother die for forming the fine structure forms the fine uneven structure on the surface of the substrate. A transfer section for transferring the fine uneven structure on the substrate is formed of a hardened material of a resin composition containing hard particles. At least part of the hard particles in the transfer section is exposed on the surface of the hardened material.
