The fire detector is provided with: a light-emitting part that repeats stop of light emission and light emission several times in a prescribed light-emitting period during a prescribed smoke detecting operation time set for each first period; a light-receiving part that receives the light emitted from the light-emitting part and outputs a light reception signal during the smoke detecting operation time; a light reception signal detecting part that detects the light reception signal output from the light-receiving part at each light emission stop timing during the smoke detecting operation time as the zero light reception signal and detects the light reception signal output from the light-receiving part at each light emission timing as the smoke light reception signal; a smoke detecting part that detects the smoke detection signal on the basis of the several zero light reception signals and the several smoke light reception signals detected by the light reception signal detecting part; and a noise assessment processing part that determines whether noise is mixed in the light reception signal on the basis of the several zero light reception signals and the several smoke light reception signals and carries out a noise removal processing if it is found that noise is mixed into the light reception signal. |
