Disclosed is a file management method using thumbnails and a device thereof. The method includes the steps of: displaying thumbnails representing at least one file stored in a terminal, and a storage path of the file; determining whether the storage path of a first file represented by the first thumbnail and the storage path of a second file represented by the second thumbnail are identical or not, when a movement command moving a display point of the first thumbnail to a display point of the second thumbnail; adjust the storage path of the first file to be identical to the storage path of the second file, when the storage paths of the first and second files are different; and displaying the adjusted storage path of the first file. |
