The present invention relates to a method for resetting a reference value of a touch pad comprising a reference value setting step for setting an initial touch reference value (Si) by recognizing an external condition when power is supplied (S10); a renewal touch determining step for determining whether or not a touch value (Cn) is a renewal touch value (Crn) which resets a touch reference value (S) (S20); and a reference value recalculating step for recalculating the touch reference value (S) when the touch value (Cn) confirmed in the renewal touch determining step (S20) is the renewal touch value (Crn) (S30). Even though a temporary touch value is applied, the present invention is provided to reset the touch reference value when a specific condition is satisfied, thereby preventing the malfunction of the touch pad caused by frequently resetting the touch reference value.
