PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of displaying a vacant space in the refrigerator.SOLUTION: A refrigerator comprises: imaging devices 35-1 and 35-2 imaging an interior of a stockroom; image storage means 77 storing therein an image picked up by each of the imaging devices 35-1 and 35-2 and a reference image; image analysis means 78 analyzing the image picked up by each of the imaging devices 35-1 and 35-2 by comparing the image picked up by each of the imaging devices 35-1 and 35-2 with the reference image; calculation means 79 calculating a stockroom storage situation based on an analysis result of the image analysis means 78; and display means 15a. The display means 15a is configured to display an empty capacity or a vacant space of the stockroom on the basis of a calculation result of the calculation means 79. A user can thereby accurately grasp the empty capacity or the vacant space of the stockroom via the display means 15a and buy food items according to this vacant space. It is therefore possible to prevent the user from buying too many food items and excessively packing the food items into the stockroom in advance. It is thus possible to prevent degradation in cooling efficiency due to the excessive packing of the food items in advance.
