PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection recording device capable of reducing the occurrence of a volatile organic compound (VOC).SOLUTION: A liquid ejection recording device of the invention includes: a liquid ejection head which ejects a liquid; and an absorber which absorbs the liquid ejected from the liquid ejection head. The liquid includes a glycol ether and the absorber includes a glycol ether having a vapor pressure lower than that of the glycol ether included in the liquid. According to the invention, the liquid ejected from the liquid ejection head is absorbed by the absorber including the glycol ether having the vapor pressure lower than that of the glycol ether included in the liquid to reduce volatilization of the glycol ether included in the liquid.
