<p>A purpose of the present invention is to provide a receptacle type electrical connector which has external dimensions practically same to an existing receptacle, is compatible with an existing plug, and improves electromagnetic shielding effect. The electrical connector (10) includes a metal shell (11) limiting an opening (13) for penetrating and inserting a connection target part. The electrical connector (10) includes a cantilever spring (18) extended from the end of the opening side of the metal shell and folded backward to the outside. The cantilever spring includes a free end penetrating a hole (19) formed on the metal shell and extended to the inner side of the metal shell. Preferably, the metal shell has the top surface (14A) and the bottom surface (14B) facing each other, and the cantilever sprint is provided on at least one among the top surface and the bottom surface.</p> |
