PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a showcase eliminating the need of wiring for an illumination device even when a light transmissive advertising display illuminated by the illumination device is provided at a door. SOLUTION: The showcase S is configured such that a front opening of a display compartment 3 formed in a body 1 is openably closed by a transparent door 4. The show case includes the light transmissive advertising display 38 provided at the door 4, and a fluorescent lamp 36 provided at the body 1 and disposed corresponding to the back side of the advertising display 38 while the door 4 closes the opening of the display compartment 3.
