PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fully automatic archive capable of effectively utilizing video metadata and a keyword for efficient storage in an archive device, reducing a price of the device by minimizing a storage capacity of the video archive device, enabling a user to find out and view a desired video image from among a large number of stored videos only by inputting the keyword or the information of a time when video recording is performed. SOLUTION: A video content is made into a text, metadata are created to which a nationwide broadcasting station code or an accurate time code per second is imparted, and the metadata are retrieved with a keyword. Video images corresponding to the metadata extracted from all recorded video images are edited, cut out and stored automatically. The user retrieves a stored video image using the keyword or a time of video recording, etc. and selects a video image to be viewed from the text indicating retrieved video contents.
