摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark plug that can generate a large plasma flame kernel even in the influence of airflow in a combustion chamber in implementing an ignition method of compositely applying an induced voltage by an ignition coil and a high frequency electric field by an electric field generation circuit to an electrode of the spark plug. SOLUTION: A spark plug 13 has a first ground electrode 133 and a second ground electrode 134, and the second ground electrode 134 is positioned downstream of the first ground electrode 133 with respect to the direction of gas flow in a combustion chamber, so that although plasma generated by a spark discharge between the first ground electrode 133 and a center electrode 132 is swept away by airflow in the combustion chamber, plasma ions are trapped by the second ground electrode 134 on the leeward side.
