<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve visual confirmation of read image when a verification error occurs in a stand-alone verification device, and to contribute to investigation into the cause of the verification error. <P>SOLUTION: A verification device includes: a conveyance part that conveys a print medium where printed information is printed; a readout part that reads out the printed information optically and generates an output signal; and a control part that generates image data showing an image of the read printed information on the basis of the output signal of the readout part, that generates read data showing a content of the read printed information on the basis of the image data, that verifies the printed information on the print medium by comparing the read data with reference data showing a content of printed information to be originally printed, and that, when a portable storage medium is attached to the verification device, uses the storage medium to store error data which includes image data showing an image of printed information for which a verification error occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
