<p>A rubber composition for a tire tread according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: 100 parts by weight of raw rubber including solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber satisfying formula 1, wherein the content of bonded styrene ranges from 35 to 50 wt%, the content of vinyl groups ranges from 20 to 45 wt%, and a molecular weight distribution ranges from 3 to 7; 90 to 140 parts by weight of silica having a specific surface area for nitrogen adsorption ranging from 150 to 300 m^2/g and a specific surface area for CTAB adsorption ranging from 140 to 280 m^2/g; and 3 to 15 parts by weight of a phenol-based resin with a softening point ranging from 135 to 175 deg. C. In formula -37°C <= Tg <= -15°C, Tg represents a glass transition temperature when 35 to 55 parts by weight of oil is added to 100 parts by weight of solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber. The rubber composition for a tire tread can provide a tire having improved braking performance and steering performance on a wet road while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency.</p> |
