<p>The present invention relates to a polycrystalline diamond sintered compact and a method for manufacturing same, and more specifically, a polycrystalline diamond sintered compact according to the present invention comprises: a tungsten carbide layer; a polycrystalline diamond layer formed on top of the tungsten carbide layer; and a toughness portion, which is provided inside the polycrystalline diamond layer and which has a higher toughness than the polycrystalline diamond layer. By comprising the toughness portion in the polycrystalline diamond layer, the present invention has the advantages of preventing a crack created on the polycrystalline diamond layer during cutting work from spreading to other areas, and of achieving the crack spreading-prevention structure through a variety of manufacturing methods.</p> |
