Bisaryl-bonded aryltriazolones and use thereof

Disclosed herein are bisaryl-bonded 5-aryl-1,2,4-triazolone compounds of general formula (I), wherein the substituents are as defined with in the specification, processes for their preparation, compositions comprising said compounds and uses thereof. These triazolone compounds are useful in the treatment or prevention of acute and chronic heart failure, hypervolemic and euvolemic hyponatremia, cirrhosis of the liver, ascites, edema and the syndrome of inadequate ADH secretion (SIADH).
