The water-meter shaft finds an application in water supply networks for the installation of water-metering devices. It has an improved construction and provides better protection against freezing of the water-meter unit. The water-meter shaft consists of an insulating body (1), on which is fixed a closing cover (3). The insulating body (1) consists of an outer body (4) and inner body (5), wherein between them is situated an intermediate body (6). The closing cover (3) consists of an upper outer body (7) and upper inner body (8), wherein between them is situated an upper intermediate body (9). The outer body (4) of the insulating body (1) and the upper outer body (7) of the closing cover (3) consist of an outer layer (10) and inner layer (11), which are made of rubber, and between them there is an intermediate layer (12) made of sheet steel or plastic. The inner body (5) of the insulating body (1) and the upper inner body (8) of the closing cover (3) are made of porous rubber. The intermediate body (6) of the insulating body (1), as well as the upper intermediate body (9) of the closing cover (3) are made of two layers polyurethane. 6 claims, 2 figures |
