摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device for a signboard capable of radiating light with low power consumption and effectively using space in a housing.SOLUTION: The illumination device for a signboard includes: a housing 20 opening a signboard installation area 11 where a signboard 10 to be illuminated is installed; an LED light source 110 provided on a vertically upper end side of the signboard installation area 11 of the housing 20 and emitting light downward; and a reflection plate 130 disposed in the housing 20 in a state of facing the signboard installation area 11, planarly formed from the vertically upper end side to a vertically lower end side of the signboard installation area 11, and forming a reflective surface 132 for reflecting, toward the signboard installation area 11, at least a part of light emitted by the LED light source 110. The reflection plate 130 is slanted so that facing distance between the reflective surface 132 and the signboard installation area 11 gradually becomes smaller from the vertically upper end side toward the vertically lower end side of the signboard installation area 11, and storage space where commodities 110' used for replacement of the LED light source 110 can be placed is formed inside the housing 20 and on the vertically lower side so as to face the LED light source 110 across the reflection plate 130.
