PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic drive device capable of increasing loads of a hydraulic pump and an engine and increasing heat energy of exhaust gas without influencing the actuation operability of a hydraulic actuator.SOLUTION: A hydraulic drive device comprises: a passing resistance adjustment valve 80 provided in a pump fluid path L1 between a turning control valve 62 provided at a closest position to a hydraulic pump 51 and the hydraulic pump 51, and capable of increasing a passing resistance of a working fluid; and an ECU 75 controlling a rotational speed of an engine E to be equal to a predetermined rotational speed irrespective of a load of the engine E. The hydraulic drive device is configured to be able to increase loads of the hydraulic pump 51 and the engine E and increase heat energy of exhaust gas by increasing the passing resistance of the working fluid by the passing resistance adjustment valve 80 (throttle 81). |
