<p>A hair colour removal kit comprising: a) a composition comprising an activator species including a metal ion; b) a composition comprising a sulfur containing species; c) a carrier composition; d) an acidic composition; and e) a composition comprising an oxidising agent; wherein components a), b) and c) are provided in unit dose form. Preferably the activator species is zinc acetate or magnesium acetate. Preferably the sulfur containing species is formamidine sulfinic acid. Preferably the carrier composition may comprise a sulphur containing species, preferably thioglycolic acid, and may comprise a swelling agent, preferably urea. Preferably the acid composition comprises ascorbic acid. Preferably the oxidising agent is hydrogen peroxide. Also claimed is a method of using the kit as previously defined comprising the steps of: i) admixing components a), b), and c) to prepare a colour removal composition; ii) contacting the colour removal composition with dyed hair; iii) contacting the dyed hair with component d); and contacting the hair with component e). Preferably the steps of the method are carried out sequentially.</p> |
