The method involves forming an internal thread (21) on a tubular end portion (20) of the integrated high-pressure accumulator (6), to which a supporting portion (5) of the modular common rail injector is to be screwed and clamped against a conical support surface (25) of the accumulator. The tubular end portion on the external side is acted upon by a radial compression force allowing a plastic deformation, and the tubular end portion is transformed so that the inner diameter of internal thread continuously decreases towards a free end. |
