PURPOSE:To simplify decoding by making an external code and internal code into power-element codes of the same prime number ''q'' and then by adequately selecting its parameter. CONSTITUTION:External coding process 2 where a check code is added to an information code of ''k'' in length by a ''q''-element code to obtain an external code of ''n'' in length, and internal coding process 3 where another check code is added to the informaton code of ''k'' in length obtained by diving the external code into several so as to obtain an internal code of ''N'' in length are both performed. Then, the information is outputted to communication line 4 under conditions of q<k>=n<alpha> and 0<alpha<=1. Consequently, decoding process at a reception side can be simplified. |
