In a method for restoring a covered tube system, in particular a sewer system, at least a part of the component sewer bodies (10) is provided internally with an inner covering. The inner covering comprises a series of form-retaining covering elements (20) with walls which extend at least substantially parallel to the walls of a sewer body (10) and herein maintain an at least substantially uniform cavity (40). The cavity is filled with a filler material (45) which is intended and composed so as to enter into adhesion with both the sewer body and the covering element.
