PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical element that can simultaneously paste functional films onto both surfaces of an optical element, such as an optical lens and eyeglass lens, and manufacture an optical element furnished with desired functional films and having new added values.SOLUTION: After an optical element held by a holding jig has been set within an openable/closable second chamber in a state in which the second chamber is open, the second chamber is closed. After two functional films have been positioned respectively between first and second chambers and between second and third chambers, hermetic spaces are enclosed within the respective chambers. Then, pressures in the chambers are reduced to specified levels, and gas is introduced into the first and third chambers. After the pressures therein have been elevated, two functional films are contacted, via an adhesive, with both surfaces of an optical element so as to simultaneously paste, via the adhesive, the functional films onto both surfaces of the optical element. Adhesive layers consisting of the adhesive are formed on both surfaces of the optical element and on at least one of the two functional films. |
