PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convey a sheet, which has been stopped due to a trouble, again without trouble.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming unit 150 which forms an image on a sheet; a conveyance unit 110 which conveys the sheet according to image forming operation; a detection unit 107 which detects a position of the sheet moving on a conveyance path of the conveyance unit and abnormal conveyance of the sheet; a control unit 101 which controls image formation and conveyance on the basis of a detection result of the detection unit. When the detection unit detects an abnormal condition and the sheet position detected by the detection unit corresponds to a preset re-conveyance prohibited position, the control unit 101 controls the sheet to continue moving as long as it is located in the re-conveyance prohibited position, and controls the sheet to stop moving when the sheet exits the re-conveyance prohibited position. |
