PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the isolating condition of a membrane formed on the surface of a die by a simple and easy method.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for detecting the abnormality of a die 2 which has a membrane formed on a surface and is used for producing a product S by cold press molding. The method includes: previously obtaining a hysteresis of temperature drop accompanying the heat release of the molded product S whose temperature is elevated by press molding using the die 2; estimating the temperature at which the base material of the die 2 softens from the temperature of the product S using the obtained temperature drop hysteresis; and determining generation of abnormality in the die 2 when the temperature of the product S exceeds the estimated level after the lapse of a prescribed time from taking out of the die 2. |
