PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition having improved initial and after-aging adhesiveness to a metallic reinforcement cord, without reducing physical properties such as tensile strength and breaking strength, and excellent in durability after long term use, and a pneumatic tire using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber composition manufactured by blending 100 pts.mass of a diene rubber, 0.1 to 10 pts.mass of a cobalt salt and sodium thiosulfate represented by the chemical formula NaSO(HO)n, where n represents 0 to 5, or hydrate thereof of 2.5 to 4000 mol% based on the cobalt salt, and there is also provided a pneumatic tire by burying a metallic reinforcement cord in the rubber composition and using the same. |
