<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering shaft capable of suppressing deterioration of tool service life and capable of being produced at low cost.SOLUTION: A steering shaft 1 comprises: a first shaft 4 having a first end 2 and a second end 3 facing to each other in an axial direction X; and a second shaft 5 pressed in the first end 2 of the first shaft 4. On an outer periphery 4a in a middle part of the axial direction X of the first shaft 1, a tool seating face 10 (one end face of a flange part 9) corresponding to a level difference part formed of a plane face (cross to the axial direction X) which has right angle to the axis is provided. When the second shaft 5 is pressed in the first end 2 of the first shaft 4, by a reception face 18 formed of the plane face which has right angle to the axis of a tool 17, the tool seating face 10 (level difference part) formed of the plane face having right angle to the axis is received.</p> |
