A method of manufacturing a wearing article capable of easily releasing the temporary fixing of folded support members. In this method, the support members (13, 14) are folded from the inner surface sheet (6) side of a front waist region (8) toward the body side inner surface thereof in the order of first regions (26, 27), second regions (28, 29), and third regions (30, 31), respectively. The first regions (26, 27) are affixed to the inner surface sheet (6) of the front waist region (8) with a first connection part (37) interposed therebetween, and the first regions (26, 27) and the second regions (28, 29) are affixed to each other with second connection parts (38) interposed therebetween, respectively. First seal parts (32, 33) are formed between the second regions (28, 29) and the third regions (30, 31), respectively. Hook elements (15, 16) are affixed to the surfaces of the third regions (30, 31) positioned on the inner surface sheet (6) side of a rear waist region (9), respectively, loop elements (17, 18) are affixed to the inner surface sheet (6) of the rear waist region (9), and the loop elements (17, 18) are engaged with the hook elements (15, 16), respectively. The first seal parts (32, 33) are formed to be overlapped with the hook elements (15, 16), respectively. |
