<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain spherical ferrite nanoparticles which have a nanometer size and a spherical shape and have a uniform average particle diameter.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing spherical ferrite nanoparticle (415) having an average particle diameter of 15 to 300 nm according to the amount of seed particles (400) added by a step of dispersing ferrite seed particles (400) having an average particle diameter of 10 nm or less with a dispersant (401) and a step of growing particles in an aqueous solution containing the seed particles (400) dispersed with the dispersant (401), disaccharides (407), an alkali (406), an oxidizing agent (407) and a divalent iron salt (411), wherein the dispersant (401) is composed of an oxo-acid and the oxo acid consists of any one of nitric acid, perchloric acid, periodic acid, chromic acid and permanganic acid.</p> |
