PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interchangeable cutting head in which: chattering vibration and the like at the cutting processing time can be suppressed; a chip discharge property can be improved in a narrow chip discharge groove; thereby, processing accuracy and process stability of cutting can be enhanced sufficiently; production cost is suppressed by making a head body small; and at the time of attachment to/detachment from a tool body, the head body can be stably rotated by a work tool.SOLUTION: An outer periphery of a head body 1 includes: a plurality of chip discharge grooves 8 extending so as to go along an axis line O direction; cutting blades 6 extending along the chip discharge grooves 8; and a pair of locking surfaces 15 formed so as to cut the outer periphery of the head body 1 in a planar manner and disposed back-to-back with each other at a base end part along the axis line O direction. The plurality of chip discharge grooves 8 include: a first chip discharge groove 8A; and a second chip discharge groove 8B in which width along the peripheral direction around the axis line O is narrower than that of the first chip discharge groove 8A at least at the base end part along the axis line O direction. Out of the pair of locking surfaces 15, at least one locking surface 15 continues to the base end part of the second chip discharge groove 8B. |
