PURPOSE: A reducer of an electric power steering device is provided to accurately assist the steering wheel operation force of a driver by minimizing gap variation according to rotation torque variation, to reduce rattle noise due to a backlash and impulsive sound delivered from a road surface, and to prevent a gap due to the abrasion of a worm and a worm wheel. CONSTITUTION: A reducer of an electric power steering device comprises a thrust bearing(305), a pivot member(310), and a worm shaft bearing(257). The thrust bearing is axially combined the joint part end of a motor shaft(146a) among both ends of a worm shaft(254). One side of the thrust bearing is supported in a plug bolt(210) to support the axial load and rotation of the worm shaft. The pivot member is axially joined to the outer side(254a) of a worm formation part in the worm shaft and the other side of the thrust bearing to support the twisting of the worm shaft at a predetermined angle on the axial direction. |
