<p>An impact beam for a vehicle door according to the present invention comprises a hollow metal rod (1); a reinforcing layer (2), which has a structure where one and more prepregs selected from an aramid fiber prepreg, an aramid fabric prepreg, a carbon fiber prepreg, a carbon fiber fabric prepreg, a hybrid fiber prepreg including an aramid fiber and a carbon fiber, and a hybrid fabric prepreg including an aramid fabric and a carbon fiber fabric are laminated on the hollow metal rod; and an outermost layer (3), which has a structure where aramid braid prepregs are laminated on the reinforcing layer (2). According to the present invention, the outermost layer (3) of the impact beam where impact is directly applied is made of an aramid braid prepreg showing an excellent vibration reducing capability and high impact-resistance so that the bending strength of the impact beam against a concentrated load is greatly improved. Also, the reinforcing layer (2) is made of an aramid fiber prepreg, an aramid fabric prepreg, a carbon fiber prepreg, a carbon fiber fabric prepreg, a hybrid fiber prepreg, and/or a hybrid fabric prepreg so that the elastic force of the impact beam is improved and the weight of the impact beam is reduced.</p> |
