PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic excreta treating apparatus which prevents odor from being leaked from a waste tank even when disconnecting a connection pipe. SOLUTION: At the upper part of the waste tank 2, a shutter member 24 as a deodorization means 23 is provided through a return spring 25. When the tank 2 is removed from a moving frame 20, a connection port 2b and a connection port 2c for connecting a tube of the tank 2 is closed by closing the shutter member 24. Thus, the odor is prevented from being leaked from the tank 2. After waste is discharged from the tank 2, the tank 2 is dropped down into the moving frame 20. Thus, the tilting surface 24a on lower end of the shutter member 24 contacts to the moving frame 20, and becomes nearly horizontal while rotating upward against the return spring 25 to open the connection port 2b and the connection port 2c. In this case, projecting pieces 2a provided on both sides of the upper part of the tank 2 are received and stopped by the upper surface of the moving frame 20, so that the tank 2 is held in a hanging state.
