<p>The invention provides a drive device of a passenger conveyor. In the drive device of the passenger conveyor driving steps by chain wheels and chains, the width size of the passenger conveyor is reduced by reducing the width size of the chains. The chains (8) are formed by a sheet plate (15) in a chain link relative to the existing chains using two sheet plates in one chain link. Adjacent plates (15) are mutually connected by a step shaft (16) and mutually rotate. The chain wheels (10) are meshed with a chain link roller (20) to draft the chains, thereby driving the steps (9); the chain link roller (20) is rotationally and freely mounted on two external sides at width direction of a position of the step shaft (16) connecting with the plate (15).</p> |
