<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wear indicator improved in the wear detection performance of a friction pad of a disc brake, and to provide a friction pad. <P>SOLUTION: This wear indicator 10 includes: a detection part 12 which contacts with a disc rotor, and can detect a wear limit of the friction pad; a spring 16 which biases the detection part 12 so that it protrudes to the side of the disc rotor from the wear face of the friction pad 30; and a stopper 14 for suppressing biasing which allows the detection part 12 to protrude toward the side of the disc rotor to the wear limit of the friction pad 30. When the friction pad 30 reaches the wear limit, the suppression of the stopper 14 is released, the detection part 12 is instantaneously protruded to the side of the disc rotor rather than the wear face of the friction pad 30, and pressed to the disc rotor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
