The present invention relates to a dye-sensitized solar cell and a method for manufacturing the same. For the dye-sensitized solar cell, an electrolyte is injected through a side part while an upper transparent substrate and a lower transparent substrate are bonded together; an encapsulating material pattern is formed to have an electrolyte injection space when forming the encapsulating material pattern on the upper and lower transparent substrates; and therefore, substrate damage caused when puncturing a transparent substrate can be prevented and the production yield can be improved. The dye-sensitized solar cell according to the present invention comprises an upper transparent substrate and a lower transparent substrate that are bonded and encapsulated together. Each of the upper and lower transparent substrates is divided into multiple unit cell regions. A light-absorbing layer is prepared in each unit cell region of the upper transparent substrate. A counter electrode is prepared in each unit cell region of the lower transparent substrate. A grid electrode, which is separated from the light-absorbing layer, is prepared on the upper transparent substrate. A grid electrode, which is separated from the counter electrode, is formed on the lower transparent substrate. Each of the unit cell regions is separated from each other by an encapsulating material. An open portion is prepared on one side of the encapsulating material. The open portion of the encapsulating material comprises: an electrolyte inlet connected to the external space; an injection sealing part connected with the electrolyte inlet; and a cell opening part spatially connecting the internal space of the unit cell region with the injection sealing part. |
