Provided are a method of manufacturing a cathode active material precursor for a lithium secondary battery, a method of manufacturing a cathode active material for a lithium secondary battery, a cathode including the cathode active material, and a lithium secondary battery including the cathode, wherein the method of manufacturing a cathode active material precursor for a lithium secondary battery comprises the steps of: preparing a mixed solution of a metal compound containing a nickel compound, a manganese compound and a cobalt compound; adding an acid-based complex-forming agent to the mixed solution of the metal compound to form a complex through a chelation reaction between a cation of the metal compound and an anion of the complex-forming agent; and substituting a hydroxyl ion (OH) for an anion of the complex to conduct a coprecipitation. According to the present invention, a cathode active material precursor for a lithium secondary battery, a cathode active material, a cathode and a lithium secondary battery can be manufactured in an environmentally-friendly manner. |
