PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor that exhibits sufficient crack resistance in a liquid development system even when a charge transport material and resin having low crack resistance are used, and exhibits excellent electrical characteristics even on a thin film; and an image forming apparatus including the electrophotographic photoreceptor.SOLUTION: There is provided a laminated-type electrophotographic photoreceptor for liquid development including a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer on a conductive support, in which the charge transport layer contains a polyester resin having a repeating structure represented by the formula (1), and has a film thickness of 20μm or less and a residual solvent amount in the charge transport layer in a range from 5 mg/cmto 50 mg/cm.
