PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the number of colors of an object independently of a type of the object.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: an object identification part for identifying a plurality of first pixels composing an object and a plurality of second pixels including at least pixels composing a background in a target image expressed by target image data; a change part which changes at least one pixel in a notice range into a second pixel by using the notice range composed of a plurality of pixels including first pixels and second pixels in such a manner that the first pixels to be changed include at least a pixel adjacent to the second pixel; and a determination part for determining a feature value concerned with the number of colors of the object by using values of a plurality of first pixels excluding the first pixel to be changed into the second pixel. |
