[Class 12 (i)] A bearing is cooled by a fan 17 which passes air over the bearing housing between a plurality of radial fins 16 thereon. The fins form axially extending channels for the air and are, in part at least, surrounded by a hood 19 which is spaced from the outer edges of the fins. The hood has apertures 22, with gauze filters 23, serving as air inlet ports. |
