[Class 51 (ii)] [Also in Group XXII] Metal strip is heated as required when passing along roller conveyers by enclosing the roller tables, e.g. 53, 58, Fig. 7, in heating chambers 54, 59 with burners 55, 60 but where certain types of scale are desired on the finished strip some of the roller conveyers are open to the air. The rollers themselves may be water cooled. Fig. 8 shows top and bottom conveyer rollers 53 and 58 with metal topped refractory aprons 57 between, and the burners 55 and 60.</p> |
