PURPOSE: A control panel assembly for a washing machine is provided to prevent loss of a communication cover or wrong opening of a communication hole against vibration in operating the washing machine by combining the communication cover with the control panel by a hinge. CONSTITUTION: A control panel assembly of a washing machine is composed of a control panel(50) embedding electric components for controlling the washing machine and having a communication hole(51) inserting a communication cable to connect to the electric components, and a communication cover(60) hinge-combined with the control panel to open and close the communication hole. The communication cover has a lid(62) covering the communication hole, a hinge shaft(64) turned and fitted to a hinge groove(52) of the control panel, and a connection leg(66) connecting the lid to the hinge shaft to turn the lid forward in opening the communication cover. A hook is formed in the lid, and fitted to the control panel in closing the communication cover. |
