Preparing bridged, stereo-rigid dialkoxide, diaryloxide and preferably diphenoxide metallocene compound (I) comprises: reacting a bridged, stereo-rigid metallocene dihalide compound (II) with an alkylating reagent (III); and subsequently reacting the obtained reaction mixture with isolated dialkylmetallocene or with alcohol, aryl alcohol or phenol (IV). Preparing bridged, stereo-rigid dialkoxide-, diaryloxide- and preferably diphenoxide metallocene compound of formula (Q(Cp)(Cp1a)M(OR 3>) 2) (I) comprises: reacting a bridged, stereo-rigid metallocene dihalide compound of formula (Q(Cp)(Cp1a)M(X) 2) (II) with an alkylating reagent of formula (R 4>-L-(X1) n) (III); and subsequently reacting the obtained reaction mixture with isolated dialkylmetallocene or alcohol, aryl alcohol or a phenol compound of formula (HO-R 3>) (IV). Cp, Cp1a : cyclopentadienyl, indenyl or fluorenyl; Q : one or more bridge (R 1>-Z-R 2>) b between Cp and Cp1a; R 1>, R 2>H, 1-10C-alkyl, 6-10C-aryl, Z carbon, silicon or germanium; M : transition metal of the group 4, preferably zirconium, hafnium or titanium; O : oxygen; R 3>1-10-alkyl (preferably phenyl) or 6-10-aryl (preferred) (where the alkyl is substituted by a substituted aryl group); X : halo, preferably Cl; X1 : halo, preferably Cl or Br; R 4>1-10-alkyl or 6-10C-aryl; L : alkali or alkaline earth metal; n : oxidation state of M (reduced to 1); OH : hydroxy; and b : 1-3. |
