The present invention relates to a lighter which can be also used as an updatable remote controller. The present invention integrates a remote controller which can generate and update code signals for controlling the operation of multiple digital devices. The remote controller includes: an audio signal reception unit which receives the control codes for the digital devices as audio signals through an audio terminal plug formed on one surface of a case; a control code generation unit which is built in the case to generate and output the code signals corresponding to the audio signals; and a wireless signal output unit which is formed on the same surface with the audio terminal plug to convert the code signals to wireless signals capable of controlling the digital devices to output the wireless signals to the digital devices. The lighter unit includes: an ignition unit having an ignition button which is formed on a surface opposite to the wireless signal output unit to provide an igniting spark and includes a flame opening for emitting an ignited flame; and a fuel supply unit which is arranged on the outer periphery of a circuit module electrically connecting the audio signal reception unit, the control code generation unit, and the wireless signal output unit in the case to supply the fuel for the ignition of the flame. The present invention enables a user to simultaneously use the functions of a remote capable of receiving and updating the control codes for the digital devices as audio signals and of a lighter conveniently.
