<p>The present invention relates to a composition for manufacturing ceramic fibers and to a saline soluble ceramic fibers for a high temperature insulating material manufactured thereby and, more specifically, to a composition which improves solubility on an artificial salt body fluid of ceramic fibers by containing SiO_2 which is a network forming oxide and CaO which is a modifying oxide at a specific ratio and, arbitrarily, additional MgO which is a modifying oxide, intermediate oxides and Al_2O_3, B_2O_3, Na_2O_3 and the like which act as solvents. The present invention is suitable for manufacturing ceramic fibers for a high temperature insulating material since a melting temperature is 1400°C or more, exhibits excellent thermal and mechanical properties such as thermal resistance, compressive strength, restoring force and the like in high temperature use and provides excellent economic effects capable of easily manufacturing ceramic fibers by utilizing existing facilities while excluding ZrO_2 which is a high priced raw material, and to saline soluble ceramic fibers for a high temperature insulating material manufactured thereby.</p> |
