An apparatus for inputting Chinese characters on a computer having a key board (1) and a monitor (2) according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a keyboard unit (10) including a first row (11), a second row (12), and a third row (13) of the keyboard (1) in which base strokes of Chinese are distributed and arranged; a selector (20) including a number part (21) to display serial numbers on one region of the monitor (2) and a radical index part (23) and a character part (25) arranged corresponding to the number part (21); and a display unit (30) disposed at another region of the monitor (2) to sequentially display a finally selected character through the keyboard unit (10) and the selector (20). Accordingly, since keys are made and arranged according to a principle used upon making Chinese characters, intuitive use and convenient use are simultaneously achieved so that users of various types of terminals such as a computer may easily and conveniently use the apparatus for inputting Chinese characters.
