The present invention relates to a battery protection device including: a battery electrode provided on a surface of a base substrate and connected to a battery terminal; a charge electrode provided on the surface of the base substrate and connected to a charge terminal; an intermediate electrode provided between the battery electrode and the charge electrode while maintaining a space between the battery electrode and the charge electrode; a low melting metal for a first overcurrent reaction connected between the battery electrode and the intermediate electrode and short-circuited when an overcurrent is applied thereto; and a temperature reaction metal connected between the intermediate electrode and the charge electrode and having a melting point with respect to a predetermined temperature. According to the present invention, when the overcurrent flows during charging and discharging, the low melting metal for a first overcurrent reaction melts and short-circuits the circuit, and when a current between a rated current and the overcurrent (twice the rated current) flows, the temperature reaction metal melts to quickly short-circuit the circuit so that the battery is more stably protected from explosion or damage. |
