A method for producing an annular-shaped cage (10) for a rolling bearing assembly (100). The method comprises the steps of: providing a workpiece (1, 20) contained in a plane (P) having a first side (2) and a second side (2'); forming an annular-shaped cage (10) from the workpiece (1, 20), the annular-shaped cage (10) having a U-shaped cross section such that portions of the first side (2) of the workpiece (1, 20) face each other; and forming a plurality of windows (7, 7', 25, 25') in the workpiece (1, 20) for receiving and positioning a set of rolling elements (104). |
