A propeller fan (1) comprises a boss (3) and a plurality of blades (5). Each of the plurality of blades has a pressure surface (13) and a suction surface (15). If the site where a pressure surface and the side surface of the boss are connected is designated as a pressure surface-side boundary (17p) and the site where a suction surface and the side surface of the boss are connected is designated as a suction surface-side boundary (17s), the curvature of a suction surface-side boundary is less than the curvature of a pressure surface-side boundary, and the blade area of a suction surface is greater than the blade area of a pressure surface when projected onto a plane orthogonal to the axis of rotation.
